The triangular space (also known as the medial triangular space,cite-ref-1[1] upper triangular space,cite-ref-isbn0-7817-5309-0-2-0[2] medial axillary space or foramen omotricipitalecite-ref-fermin-2015-3-0[3]) is one of the three spaces found at the axillary space. The other two spaces are the quadrangular space and the triangular interval.cite-ref-bd-chaurasia-2010-4-0[4]

It has the following boundaries:

• Inferior: the superior border of the teres major;

• Lateral: the long head of the triceps;

• Superior: Teres minor

For the superior border, some sources list the teres minor,cite-ref-isbn0-7817-5309-0-2-1[2]cite-ref-5[5] while others list the subscapularis.cite-ref-isbn0-443-06612-4-6-0[6]

It contains the scapular circumflex vessels.cite-ref-7[7]

Unlike the quadrangular space or the triangular interval, no major nerve passes through the triangular space.
